Required documents

Eligible for participants from countries that signed the 1949 Geneva Convention.

To join the tour, please bring all three original documents:

  1. [01] Passport

    Original passport only.

  2. [02] International Driving Permit (IDP)

    Booklet format (1949 Geneva Convention).

    Issued in your home country by an authorized organization.

  3. [03] Domestic Driver's License

    Original physical driver's license.

    Must be presented together with your IDP.

Please Note: You cannot participate unless all three original documents are presented. Digital copies, photos, scans, and photocopies are not accepted.

Why we check

Our karts are street-legal in Japan. Police checks happen, and only riders with the correct documents can join. We verify everyone at sign-in to keep the ride safe.

Counterfeit or altered licenses

We do not accept counterfeit, altered, or fraudulent driving documents. Presenting a fake license will result in denial of participation.

If you are unsure whether your documents are valid, contact us before booking.

Warning: Fake or tampered licenses are strictly prohibited and will not be accepted. Staff may refuse service and report fraudulent documents.

Bring your original passport and genuine driving documents to avoid denial on the day.

What documents do I need to drive a go-kart? +

All participants must bring a valid passport — whether you're using an IDP or a translation.

Most countries require an International Driving Permit (IDP) issued in the format of the 1949 Geneva Convention from a government-authorized association, plus your physical passport.

Drivers with licenses issued in Switzerland, Germany, France, Taiwan, Belgium or Monaco must instead obtain a Japanese translation of their license from the Japan Automobile Federation (JAF), plus your physical passport.

Licenses from countries not covered by the 1949 Geneva Convention (e.g. China, Indonesia, Mexico, Qatar, Saudi Arabia) are not permitted to drive in Japan.

What is the minimum age to rent a kart? +

You must be 18 or over to rent a kart from us.

How do I book a kart for rental? +

Booking a Kart for rental is simple. You can either book online through our official Klook or Rezio pages above, or contact our customer service team who will assist you with the booking process. Please provide us with the dates of your rental, the type of vehicle you prefer, and any other special requests.

What should I do if I have an accident with the rented kart? +

In case of an accident, our crew is always prepared and will help you through the situation. Rest assured that there will always be a trained crew member with you to guide you through the entire process, assess the situation, and ensure your safety. Our crew will handle everything for you.
